(AUSTIN) March 30, 2016 – Locke Lord Partner Michelle Earley has joined the 2016 Fellows Program for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). This marks the third consecutive year a Locke Lord lawyer has been selected to participate as an LCLD Fellow.
Established in 2011, the LCLD Fellows Program consists of conferences, in-person training and projects with LCLD’s top leadership aimed at increasing leadership and relationship skills for lawyers who are committed to fostering diversity within the legal community and at their firms. Earley’s participation in the LCLD Fellows Program follows the inclusion of Dallas Partner Art Anthony in the 2015 Fellow class and Chicago Partner Ernesto Palomo in 2014.
Earley serves as the Hiring Partner of the Austin office and is a member of the Firm’s Diversity Committee, Women’s Initiative Committee, Lateral Hire Committee, and Practice Development Committee. In her practice, she handles a wide range of corporate and securities work for public and private companies and has extensive experience in merger, acquisition, and disposition transactions, securities regulation matters and securities offerings, including representing purchasers and sellers of publicly-traded and privately-held companies, representing issuers and selling shareholders in connection with the public offering and private placement of debt and equity securities, tender offers, exchange offers and advising management and boards of directors on general corporate governance matters.
Earley is a graduate and Coker Fellow of Yale Law School (J.D., 1997) and Texas A&M University (B.A., summa cum laude, 1993). She is an active member of the Austin community participating as a member in the Junior League of Austin and the Austin Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc., as well as a regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is a Leadership Austin Class of 2011 Alumni and a 2016 Austin Area Research Organization McBee Fellow.
